The Klusa Daba project was planned
to become a collection of worlds ambient music, to understand the field and
its synthesis with video art, offering annual meeting with definite worlds
region music presentation live. The Baltic countries were introduced in 2006,
Nordic countries – in 2007, and this year the emphasis is put on “space
ambient” branch and ist pioneer from USA Robert Rich.
The number of vjs and ambient music
producers in Latvia is not big, in comparison with worlds experience, and they
are acting only on their own enthusiasm, but it should be accented, that these
artists are already qualified internationally. They were finally noticed in
Latvia after the 2006 year fest, and ambient music and video art is acepted as
a serious and professional form of art. Thanks to the Klusa Daba fest much
successful cooperations in artists environmet have been formed and continue to
develop. Latviaan artists have the opportunity to work with worlds recognized professionals
in the festival network.
„Klusa Daba” 2008 is planned for the
realization on the territory of the Opera Park, near the Latvian National Opera
building. The video will also be projected to the Opera facade. As a
special video performance the great and beautiful work of Robert Rich and video
artist Daniel Colvin, film “Atlas Dei” (www.atlasdei.com)
will be shown on the big outdoor screen.
The project is a part of
International Cultural Forum White nights programm. The attendance of the
festival is free.

2008.07. 04-07 Tundra Festivāls @Lietuva, netālu no Kauņas
 | Well, KlusaDaba is going
to surprise its admirers a little this year, because there are some
changes in festival’s planning. The thing is, that we have taken up
the glove from our Lithuanian colleagues, to participate in the
biggest and well-know open-air action “TUNDRA” with or own
program. The festival’s dates are July 5-7 of 2008. KD team will
arrange the chill out stage in the network of “Tundra”, where you
will have a chance to enjoy various music and video program, and
traditionally international line-up for 48 full hours. Not only DJs,
but also live artists will participate in the show. The chilling
atmosphere will be created and maintained by rhythms and melodies of
various genres – making you dance, meditate, swing, relax, think
over, tap and clap, or just lie in the grass and see the deeper sky
above… but – this is enough of letter lyrics. You will be able to
feel the true music fairy tale atmosphere only on the fest
itself.
Some information about “Tundra” - as it was said, this
is the biggest electronic music open-air festival, that is leaded
each summer at the beginning of July, on a fairy forest glade, about 100km from Vilnius. The total festival’s area is about 25 hectares,
that will be shared between 4 arenas with different musical moods –
traditionally the biggest and main Psy-Trance stage, the second Chill-out zone, will
be maintained by KD team and Swam Tales, third – Drum’n’Bass, and Techno stage. Shiva Kitchen with vegetarian food will work on the
territory of the festival, where both artists and guests will have a
chance to fortify and gain strength for the full value relaxation.
Some bars and teahouse are also in the plans. Various performances
and installations will be organized, besides of musical sets and
gigs.
Please bring your tents and sleeping bags with you, to make
